As you rate dishes with a thumbs up or down, Gourmate builds a personal taste profile of your loved flavours, the ingredients you avoid, and how adventurous you are. Every rating makes its suggestions more accurate over time.

Yes. Set your diet (such as keto, vegan, paleo, low carb, or vegetarian), your allergens (gluten, dairy, shellfish, peanuts, and more), and any ingredients you dislike under Settings, then Food Preferences. Gourmate uses these to tailor and filter what it suggests. Because suggestions are AI generated, the filters are a helpful aid rather than a guarantee, so please always check the ingredients yourself before cooking. See our food safety note below and our Terms of Service.

Please do not rely on Gourmate alone for safety. Recipes, ingredient lists, and nutritional values are generated automatically and are not individually checked, so errors can happen. Always read the labels on the products you buy, verify every ingredient against your own allergies and dietary needs, and follow safe food handling and cooking. Gourmate does not provide medical or dietary advice; if you have an allergy or medical condition, follow the advice of a qualified professional.

Choose how many days, which meals, and how many servings, then let the AI build the week in seconds, balanced for nutrition and variety. You can keep the suggestions you like and regenerate only the ones you do not.

Your shopping list builds itself from your meal plan, grouped by store aisle with duplicates merged. You can check items off, star the staples you buy often, and share the list with the rest of your circle.

Yes. Add items to your Pantry and Gourmate prioritises them when generating recipes. You can also use Scan to take a photo of a dish or a menu and turn it into a matching meal plan.

Open any recipe and chat with it to make it healthier, dairy free, or scaled to a different number of servings, and it updates instantly. You can switch between metric and imperial units, and fork a copy to save your own version without changing the original.

Recipes translate automatically into your language, so you can cook anything from our 33+ cuisines without a language barrier. You can change your language any time under Settings.

Shared circles let a family or group share one meal plan and one shopping list. Add people to a circle, switch between your Personal and shared circles, and follow what everyone is cooking in the activity feed.

Account & billing

Gourmate is free to download and use. AI actions are powered by Chef Energy, with a daily amount on the free plan. The Foodie, Gourmet, and Table plans raise those limits and unlock more features, and are managed through the App Store or Google Play.

Subscriptions are handled through the App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android. If billing looks wrong, contact support and include your receipt.

Use the password reset flow from the login screen first. If that does not work, send us the email address on the account and the error you are seeing.

Open the app, go to Settings, and choose Delete Account. If you need help with a recovery window or a deletion request, email [email protected].
